JDP Scholars

Each year the Jayda Dionne Scholarship Fund selects and honors an incoming freshman or current college student with a one-year scholarship. We are pleased to recognize our recipients who have demonstrated hard work, willingness to help others and determination against tremendous odds.

Jaedah Davis

2025-2026 Recipient

Jaedah Davis is a Journey Magazine staff writer and 90.5 on-air personality who has made her mark as a storyteller, dedicated leader, and community servant. She is on track to graduate in 2026 and is an outstanding Dean’s List scholar in FAMU’s School of Journalism and Graphic Communication. She is also a proud Spring 2025 initiate of the Original Beta Alpha Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, demonstrating her commitment to scholarship, sisterhood, and service.

Through resilience and determination, she has transformed struggles into triumphs while lending her voice on air, crafting powerful stories, and giving back to her community. Ms. Davis leads with compassion, drive, and an energy that inspires everyone around her. She truly exemplifies Jayda’s demonstration of determination, hard work, and benevolence.
